Trex IPTV has gained popularity for its extensive content library. The service offers 45,000+ live TV channels, live sports, movies, and TV series across multiple regions and genres, giving users plenty of viewing options.

During testing, I noticed occasional buffering, limited catch-up, and inconsistent EPG data. However, when I re-tested the service in 2026 after buying from Z2U, the TV series were absent. If accurate programme listings matter to you, consider integrating the service with IPTVEditor.

In this review, I’ll examine what Trex IPTV does well, where it falls short, and how to get the best experience from your subscription. I’ll also assess whether the service offers good value for your money.

Remember that Trex is an unverified IPTV service. Use a VPN to reduce buffering, protect your privacy, and avoid ISP throttling while streaming during peak hours.

How do you verify if you are using a Legit Trex IPTV?

After purchasing a Trex IPTV subscription, it is crucial to confirm its authenticity. To verify, check the first channel in any category for a dummy screen. The real Trex shows a thank-you message with multiple country flags and a multilingual note, like in the screenshot above.

You can also verify by checking the category list. Authentic panels will accurately display over 45,000+ live TV channels divided into correctly labeled regional folders.

You can also check the category list, comparing the channel categories as shown above (or you can check from the table under ‘Live TV’ Categories) and the total channel count.

What Can You Watch on Trex IPTV?

1. Live TV

Trex offers over 45,000+ live TV channels in 2026. While the variety is incredible, keep in mind that around 15% to 17% of channels might be broken or temporarily offline.

Despite the broken links, the working channels offer excellent variety. The working channels provide excellent variety, with thousands of streams in 1080p/FHD and 720p/HD. However, some channels labeled 4K or 8K may actually be upscaled 1080p streams.

Overall, the picture quality is sharp and enjoyable on most TVs. Arabian and European channels generally stream without buffering, while some US channels may lag or buffer during high-traffic peak hours.

– Live Sports

Trex IPTV covers many live sports channels, including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and Premier League. The sports section is organized by league and region, making it easy to browse.

Canadian sports channels, including TSN and Sportsnet, stream reliably in 1080p. European football fans also get plenty of HD options. However, major US sports channels such as ESPN are often limited to 720p at 60 FPS, even on a 4K screen.

Trex is a strong option for sports fans, offering broad global coverage and reliable streaming quality. However, live games have a noticeable 1-minute delay compared to competitors like Strong 8K. Overall, it remains a solid choice for variety, global coverage, and quality streaming.

– Channels Categories

Trex IPTV features channels from 40+ countries, focusing heavily on Arabic, UK, US, MENA, and more. It includes dedicated regional feeds for sports, news, and entertainment.

Here is a look at the popular Live TV categories available with Trex IPTV.

– EPG

Trex IPTV shows about 23% of channels with EPG data when it was first tested. But in practice, the guide was spotty and often lacked accuracy. This made browsing channels and checking current programs more difficult than they should be. When I re-tested in 2026, not a single channel showed EPG. It is completely missing.

To improve your viewing experience, I highly recommend integrating third-party tools like IPTVEditor or IPTVBoss. These services allow you to comfortably manage and update the EPG yourself.

– Buffering & Uptime

Trex IPTV performs exceptionally well during off-peak hours, but buffering has noticeably increased on US and UK channels during sports events or primetime slots.

As the service grows in 2026, crowded servers are the likely cause. Having a reliable backup like Strong 8K or Eagle 4K ensures uninterrupted streaming during these high-traffic periods.

– Catch-Up

Trex IPTV offers catch-up on about 7% of its channels, but its reliability varies. While UK and German channels support it, many US regions have limited or no catch-up available.

Also, Playback errors and delays are common. If the catch-up feature is a priority for you, make sure to test it out during a trial first.

2. VOD

Trex IPTV offers a massive VOD library featuring over 200,000+ movies in 2026. It includes major genres, Netflix Originals, HBO Hits, and Prime Video favorites. The collection includes movies, series, documentaries, etc. It provides plenty of options for varied tastes.

While the VOD library is large, IPTV services focus mainly on live TV. For the best on-demand content, Stremio with Torrentio & RD is the best option. The 42,000+ TV series that were previously available from Z2U are now absent after recent re-testing.

Pricing Plan

Most Z2U sellers offer a 24-hour trial starting around $4.25/month, and sometimes even for free. Trial availability depends on the seller, so ask beforehand.

Below are the available Trex IPTV subscription options.

Does Trex Work Without a VPN?

Trex IPTV works without a VPN, but streaming without one comes with risks. ISPs often throttle IPTV traffic, causing buffering and lower-quality streams.

Using a VPN like Surfshark encrypts your connection and hides your online activity from your ISP. While Trex works without one, a VPN may reduce ISP-related throttling, improve privacy, and provide more stable streaming with fewer interruptions during peak hours.

Final Verdict on Trex IPTV

No IPTV service is flawless, and Trex is no exception. While it offers a large library of live TV channels and VOD Content, you may run into occasional buffering or incomplete EPG data.

You may experience occasional buffering or gaps in the EPG. But upon re-testing the service in 2026, I found no EPG in Trex IPTV after buying from Z2U. The service still offers good overall value. Start with a short-term plan to test the service and confirm that the seller is reliable.

As with any unverified IPTV, nothing is guaranteed. And like I always say, keep a backup IPTV service like Strong 8K or Eagle 4K. Furthermore, use a VPN like Surfshark to avoid ISP throttling and protect your privacy while streaming.
